We check the quality of our cylinders from the very first step by physically checking each and every Base Shell manually, before going for the plating. We have a balancing machine to crosscheck this for every cylinder. Singla Engravures sources its entire copper requirement from the best available in the market. Pre-determined quality criteria are observed process by process. After plating each cylinder, our plating staff checks the hardness, then it goes for turning. During turning again we go for a complete check of cylinders, to check during plating if any thing happened regarding its side or balancing. After that it goes for grinding, after grinding we check the roughness of the cylinder. We see that our polished cylinder roughness should be in the range of 0.5 to 0.7 Rz or less. Then we measure the Waviness of the cylinder that should be less than 1 micron over a measuring length of 15mm. After grinding as cylinder is ready for engraving we again check that copper hardness should be with in the limit of 185 to 230 HV. After engraving the cylinder goes for chrome where our staff check the chrome hardness. After chrome polishing again with the help of microscope we measure the engrave dots, so that there should be no variation in the dots.
